A North Carolina man was arrested for punching a 1-year-old boy on Sunday, resulting in him being hospitalized.
WJZY reported that Rico Williams, 26, punched the baby in the face. The victim’s mother told Charlotte police that she did not know Williams.
The boy was hospitalized for his injuries but has since been released, according to WJZY.
Bystanders helped to apprehend Williams, who is charged with assault on a child under 12. Additional details regarding Sunday’s incident, including what led to the assault, were not disclosed.
