Stranger Threatens Toddler, Stabs Mom on Brooklyn Street

A woman in a blonde wig threatened a toddler on a Brooklyn street this week and then stabbed the little girl’s mother as they passed on the sidewalk.

The unknown woman began yelling at the 34-year-old mother, who was pushing her 3-year-old daughter in a stroller, at about 3:30 p.m. on Monday and then threatened to hurt the girl, the New York Post reported.

The mother blocked the woman from the stroller, but she pulled out a knife and stabbed the mom in the chest and both legs, according to New York police.

The knife-wielding woman fled on foot and was later photographed on a surveillance camera, talking on her phone with the blonde wig tucked under her arm.

The mom was taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where she was in stable condition. Her daughter was not harmed.

Police described the attacker as about 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 160 pounds with a thin build and short, black hair. She was last seen wearing a red jacket, black pants, and white sneakers and was carrying a gray purse.
