Grandmother Sought in Hit-and-Run That Killed Toddler

Police in Indiana are looking for a 51-year-old woman they say struck and killed her toddler granddaughter in a hit-and-run in a motel parking lot on Friday.

Cheyenne Allen, the little girl’s mother, said he boyfriend opened the door and 18-month-old Eleanor Campbell darted outside, WLKY reported. Before they could stop her, the girl made it to the parking lot of the Motel 6, where she was struck by a white Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The driver sped away, but the incident was captured on surveillance video, police said.

The Jeffersonville Police Department has asked the community to be on the lookout for Eleanor’s grandmother, Lisa Tesch, and caution that she should be considered armed and dangerous.

Tesch drives a white Chevrolet Trailblazer with Kentucky plate number A9Z280.

Anyone with information should contact the Jeffersonville Police Department Detective Division at 812-285-6535 or Dispatch Center at 812-283-6633.
