‘Most Wanted’ Fugitive Lived Under Fake Name for 17 Years — Unbeknownst to His Wife and Kids

A South Carolina man who had been on the run for 17 years was arrested on Tuesday in Michigan, according to officials.

Antran Hall was convicted of cocaine trafficking and failure to stop for police in 2006, and he was deemed a “most wanted” fugitive in Anderson County, South Carolina, after he failed to appear twice on warrants. Authorities believe Hall lived under an alias for 17 years, according to the Detroit News.

“The investigation shows Hall lived under a fake identity, even tricking his own wife and kids that only knew him by his alias name,” police in Anderson County said in a statement.

They did not reveal Hall’s alias.

WDIV reported that investigators learned earlier this year that Hall was possibly living in Detroit, Michigan, under a fake name. He was arrested in Detroit a day after the U.S. Marshals Service narrowed down his whereabouts.

Hall remains jailed in Wayne County, Michigan, as he awaits extradition to South Carolina.
