Husband Charged With Wife’s Hit-and-Run Murder

A Minnesota husband has been charged with the hit-and-run death of his wife, whose body was found along a roadway last month.

Tony James McClelland, 47, was booked on charges of 2nd degree murder and criminal vehicular homicide, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office said.

Angela Marie McClelland, 49, was found dead in Fort Ripley Township on June 25.

Police did not disclose a motive in the killing but said they would provide more information “in the next days.” The McClellands lived together in their home in Fort Ripley.

The sheriff’s office worked with the state patrol and the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension to build a case before making the arrest.
