Bronx Kids’ Fight Leads to Mom’s Stabbing by Another Mom

A young mother was treated for minor injuries Friday after she was involved in a fight with two other women over an earlier fight between their children.

Police called to a Bronx street outside Walter Gladwin Park found the 23-year-old victim with cuts to her chest, legs, and arms. She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment, according to the New York Daily News.

Felicity Reid, 23, and Dezire Black, 22, were taken into custody at the scene. One of them was armed with a handgun, police said. Black was charged with gang assault, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment. Reid faces charges of criminal possession of a loaded firearm, assault, weapons, possession, and possession of stolen property.

Witnesses told police that the victim’s son got into a fight with another boy inside park several hours earlier, the Daily News said. Later on, the mother of the other boy approached the vicim to talk about it, and the fight ensued.
