Deputies in Georgia have made a second arrest in the murder of Rockdale County mom-of-four Imani Roberson — her brother-in-law, 28-year-old Cedarius Blaze.
Roberson, xx, disappeared on July 16 and her car was later found burned and abandoned 30 miles from where she was last seen, as CrimeOnline previously reported. Nearly three weeks later, on August 4, found remains believed to belong to the missing woman and arrested her husband, Donnell Anderson, charging hims with felony murder, malice murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
Deputies were already looking for Blaze, believing he “played a key role in the disposal of Ms. Roberson’s body.” Four days after Anderson’s arrest, the investigators were tipped off about Blaze’s location. With the help of the Georgia State Patrol, they took him into custody without incident.
He’s been charged with tampering with evidence, concealment of a dead body, and arson, the Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office said.
“There was no one else he could call to help [Anderson] dispose of her body, burn her car, and drive him back home,” said Sheryl McCollum, crime scene investigator and founder of Atlanta’s Cold Case Investigative Research Institute. “The only other person that ever had his back he had just killed.”
Investigators have not revealed how Roberson died. Her body was found miles from her burned car, WXIA reported, and they used cadaver dogs to find her. At the time, they said they were searching for other suspects.
