Connecticut Man Tries to Kidnap, then BUY a Child on the Street

A Connecticut man has been charged with trying to kidnap a child from a parked vehicle and then offering money to buy the child.

According to the Norwalk Police Department, a woman said she was parked and had unbuckled the child’s seatbelt late Sunday afternoon when a stranger reached into to her car and tried to take the child.

The woman said she held onto the child, and the man then asked if she wanted to sell the child and offered money. The woman immediately drove away and called police, providing a description of the man.

Norwalk police officers found a man matching the description and took him into custody. They said he was slurring his words and appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance and they have cocaine in his possession.

Jose Domingo, 37, was charged with risk of injury to a child, possession of a controlled substance, breach of peace. and kidnapping. He is being held on a $150,000 bond and is due in court on August 21.
