Teen Mom Dumps Newborn in TRASH COMPACTOR

An Alabama teen mom has been charged with murder after she allegedly threw her newborn baby into a trash compactor.

Dothan Police Chief Will Benny said that Jakayla Ashanti Williams, 18, told her family that she dropped the baby off at Southeast Health Medical Center, AL.com reported. But when they became concerned about the infant, they called the hospital and learned Williams never brought the child in.

The hospital called police, Benny said.

Investigators determined that Williams gave birth at about  7 a.m. on August 13, then went to an apartment complex, where she “placed a newborn in a trash compactor” a few hours later.

Benny said that investigators recovered the newborn’s body from the trash.

Williams told detectives she threw the baby away because “she didn’t want the child,” Benny said.

“It’s just incredible to even believe because she knew, obviously, she could take a child, a newborn, to the hospital and drop it off,” he said. “But she chose not to do that.”

“In 27 years in law enforcement I never even heard of anything like this,” Benny added. “I never even heard of something as horrific as this. It shock the mind, it shocks the soul. I don’t really know what else to say.”

The chief said Williams told also the child’s father that she dropped the baby off at the hospital.
