Alabama Mom of 2 Shot Dead in the Street

Police in Alabama are asking for help identifying and locating a man they believe shot a Midfield mother to death Saturday night.

Midfield Police said they were called about a physical altercation just before 10 p.m. and arrived to find a woman with a gunshot wound next to the roadway.

Officials identified the woman as Koreyanta “Koko” Davis, 33, AL.com reported.

Amber Nashay told the outlet that her friend leaves behind two young sons who “loved their mama to pieces.”

“Who didn’t know Koko?’’ Nashay said. “She was the energy. She was loved by everybody.”

Midfield police provided a photograph of a person of interest in the case and said he may go by the name “Eric.” They asked anyone with information to  contact Sgt. Jeffries at (205)-745-3554 or, anonymously, Crime Stoppers of Metro Alabama at (205)-254-7777.
