On Friday, Louisiana police arrested a man for allegedly sexually abusing his 9-year-old child in August.
The Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office was alerted to the case in late August, a day or two after the most recent assault occurred. Police learned that Charles Soden, 66, had put his genital area on his child and sexually assaulted them, according to KTVE.
The victim reportedly told police that the assaults happened at their home and they occurred so frequently that they wanted to run away. The victim also confirmed that their father was the person sexually abusing them, KTVE reported.
Soden was charged with an aggravated crime against nature. Bond details were not disclosed.
