FOUND SAFE: Grandmother, Toddler Grandson Missing After Talking a Walk

Update: Morristown police announced they found a missing grandmother and her grandson safe. They provided no further information.

Investigators in East Tennessee are searching for a grandmother and toddler who didn’t return from a walk  Monday afternoon.

Morristown police said Barbara Ann Smith, 53, took her grandson, 3-year-old Jaiden Douglas Barger, for a walk at about 5:30 p.m. in a black and gray Radio Flyer wagon with a canopy. The pair were seen at Fred Miller Park about two hours later, but they never returned home.

The boy’s mother reported them missing.

Jaiden is described as 3 feet tall and 30 pounds with sandy brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen wearing a peach-colored shirt with a dinosaur on the front.

Smith is about 5 feet 3 inches tall and 120 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt and blue capri pants.
