Flight Attendant Found Dead in Hotel Room With Sock in Her Mouth

Philadelphia police are investigating as suspicious the death of a 66-year-old American Airlines flight attendant who was found dead in her hotel room with “a cloth in her mouth.”

The woman was found dead at the Marriott Philadelphia Airport at about 10:40 p.m. on Monday, WCAU reported.

Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small told the station there were no signs of forced entry into the woman’s room.

Sources told WPVI the “cloth” in the woman’s mouth was a sock. Investigators also found bottles of prescription medication on the scene.

Police said the woman, whose name has not been released, was supposed to check out two days earlier.
