Indiana Mom Calls Toddler Daughter ‘Ass****’ Who Would Grow Up to Be Jeffrey Dahmer

Cheyenne Hill is now charged with neglect leading to the 18-month-old girl’s death.

An Indiana mother was arrested this week and charged with neglecting her toddler daughter to death, nearly a year after the little girl died at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis.

A shockingly detailed probable cause affidavit filed in the case in August reveals that Cheyenne Hill refused to take her 18-month-old daughter to the hospital even though she had swelling and bruising on her face and head and was “incoherent” — and the mother called little Elliaunna (Elli) “an ass****” who was going to grow up to be the next Jeffrey Dahmer.

The little girl was finally taken to a Bedford hospital on November 23, 2022, and diagnosed with a brain bleed, a broken collar bone, and facial bruising. She died three days later after being flown to the hospital in Indianapolis.

An autopsy revealed that the girl was malnourished — about 10 pounds underweight — and the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head. The manner was homicide.

According to the affidavit, Hill told a coworker on November 11 that the daughter was born with a tumor on the brain and she may have to go to the hospital. The next day, she told the same coworker that the girl fell off the bed and hit her head, causing her brain to bleed.

The coworker “told Hill if it were her child she would have them at the hospital and would not even be at work, but Hill continued to work,” the affidavit said.

On November 13, a friend of Hill’s boyfriend texted a friend and said he’s seen Elli and she had two black eyes and her hair was falling out.

Both a babysitter and the babysitter’s boyfriend told investigators they saw the head injury on November 15, 16, and 17. The boyfriend told detectives that he and the babysitter told Hill she should take the girl to the hospital, and she replied that “under no circumstances are you to call an ambulance or take her in yourself. I will make the decisions. That is my child.”

On the 18th, Hill told another coworker that her daughter had a broken collar bone. She said her boyfriend doesn’t like the toddler, and she believes he is hurting her. Three days later, she told a third coworker that her daughter “used to be beautiful and now she is ugly.

On the 21st, she told the same coworker that her boyfriend, who was married to another woman at the time but living with Hill, would marry her if she didn’t have a child.

Hill came to work on November 23 and asked several coworkers if they ever had trouble waking their child up. Hill later told police that she and her boyfriend tried to wake the girl up but were unsuccessful, and she gave up and went to work. She later got a phone call from the boyfriend saying the child had to go to the hospital.

With the girl hospitalized in Indianapolis on November 25, Indiana Donor Network Family Service Representative Erin Lane noted in her report that Hill said that Elli was “not a nice kid” and that she believes the toddler would be the next Jeffrey Dahmer. “Something wasn’t right with her,” Hill said about the child.

Elli died the next day.

Detectives found evidence of mistreatment prior to the injury that caused the girl’s death. Interviews with the boyfriend and his wife, who lived in the same apartment complex, both told detectives that Hill would throw food on the floor for the toddler to eat, calling it “free roaming.”

Investigators also found text messages in which Hill said she wanted to “throw” the little girl for crying” and repeatedly calling her an “ass****.”

The affidavit also said that Hill failed a polygraph examination on December 7 in which she was asked about Elli’s injuries. The examiner said he also asked her about the Jeffrey Dahmer comment, after the polygraph, and “Hill began to laugh and said she (Elliaunna) is an ass****.”

Hill, 33, is charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, WXIN reported.
