SEE IT: Wife of Air Force Airman Allegedly Pours Bleach Into Husband’s Coffee

An Air Force airman’s wife accused of trying to poison him can be seen in newly released video recordings allegedly pouring bleach into a coffeemaker, KGUN9 reports.

The footage, recorded by hidden cameras the husband placed in the home, were key pieces of evidence that led to the arrest of Melody Felicano Johnson in July. Authorities in Tucson, Arizona, say the 39-year-old wife and mother tried to kill her husband, Roby Johnson, while the pair were in the process of divorcing.

Roby alleges that he began noticing his regular morning coffee tasted off beginning in March while he and his family were living in Germany.

Under the believe that his wife was attempting to poison him, Roby began collecting evidence and waited to report the situation to authorities until the family returned to the United States. In July, they moved into housing on the David Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona.

A hidden camera recorded Melody in the kitchen on July 5 while she allegedly poured bleach in the coffee maker. Roby went to police the following day, but investigators could not do anything because the video did not clearly show what liquid Melody was pouring.

On July 16, Melody was captured on video allegedly pouring bleach into a container in the laundry room and then pouring the contents of that container into the coffee maker.

Throughout this time, Roby tested the coffee maker on a regular basis.

“Boom,” Roby can be heard saying on video after using a test strip on the water in the coffee maker, according to Law&Crime.

“You can smell it from here. You can smell it,” he said in another video.

Melody was arrested on July 18 and faces charges of attempted homicide, attempted aggravated assault and adding poison to food or drink. She remains detained in the Pima County Jail pending $250,000 bond.
