Girlfriend Texts Ex, ‘Let’s Fight to the Death’ Before Stabbing Him in Head With Scissors as He Slept

Idaho police arrested a woman who allegedly tried to kill her ex-boyfriend with a pair of scissors last week.

On October 2, police responded to a cabin in Victor and found a woman who claimed she overheard her boyfriend arguing upstairs with his ex-girlfriend, Luna Nicoya Phaedra Serrano, 48, who she said “sounded like a lunatic.” The woman, who fled the home and hid under a truck, led cops to her boyfriend — who they found bleeding profusely and holding down Serrano, according to Cowboy State Daily.

Cops were detaining the boyfriend when they noticed his neck was slashed. He told them that he was sleeping in an upstairs loft in a bed that’s only accessible by a ladder when he woke up to someone stabbing him in the head with scissors, Cowboy State Daily reported.

The man went on to identify Serrano as his attacker, who allegedly also stabbed her ex in the ribs.

Officers who inspected the cabin reportedly found blood all over. They also noticed that Serrano was covered in blood but had no wounds.

The man said he broke up with Serrano a week before the attack. He said that Serrano had broken into the cabin a few nights earlier — and she texted him about wanting to fight “to the death.”

Serrano is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and burglary. Idaho News reported that though her bond was set at $250,000, she was released and sent to pre-trial supervision as she awaits an October 11 court hearing.
