A California mother has been arrested on charges relating to the murder of her young daughter.

Modesto Police said they received a call about a possible assault early Saturday afternoon and arrived to find the young girl dead in the apartment, KCRA reported.

A second child was at home but was not hurt, they said.

Mina Nazari, 34, was charged with murder, attempted murder, assault of a child under 8, and child endangerment. According to jail records, she’s being held without bond.
