Mom Lets Sex Offender Dad Repeatedly Rape Their 10-Year-Old Daughter: Police

U.S. Marshals arrested a Washington woman on Tuesday for allowing the father of her 10-year-old daughter to rape the girl at least six times last year.

Big Country News reported that Dawn Manby, 44, let Grant Yeaman, 43, come to her Asotin County home despite Yeaman having a prior conviction in Idaho for raping a child in 2006. In this case, the victim, who was in foster care, revealed last year that Yeaman sexually abused her.

The girl had been removed from Manby’s care before her arrest amid concerns of drug use and that she was allowing Yeaman to visit their daughter. Yeaman denied being in the home, but police determined he sexually assaulted her there on six instances between April and October 2022, according to Big Country News.

The news outlet also reported that Yeaman’s DNA was recovered from his daughter’s bedding.

Manby was arrested in Idaho more than a month after Yeaman was arrested for first-degree child rape and first-degree incest. Manby is charged with criminal conspiracy to commit first-degree rape of a child, first-degree incest, violation of a protection order, and making false or misleading statements to a public servant. They both remain jailed.
