Russell Brand Hit With New Sexual Assault Lawsuit for Actions on Movie Set

“Comedian” Russell Brand has been accused of sexually assaulting an extra on the set of his 2010 movie “Arthur,” a remake of a 1981 film starring Dudley Moore.

A civil lawsuit filed in the United States says that Brand exposed himself to the woman, who is anonymous in the lawsuit, and then followed her into a bathroom and raped her, the BBC reported.

Brand is already facing accusations of rape, sexual assault, emotional abuse from at least four women, as CrimeOnline reported. Brand had denied all the allegations and said his relationships were “always consensual.”

He has not yet responded to the latest lawsuit, filed with the New York State Supreme Court on Friday.

In an affidavit included with the lawsuit, the woman, identified as Jane Doe, says Brand “appeared intoxicated, smelled of alcohol, and was carrying a bottle of vodka on set” before the assault on July 7, 2010. Brand exposed himself in full view of the cast and crew on set, she said.

Later that day, she said, he followed her into the bath room and raped her a “a member of the production crew guarded the door from outside.”

In addition to Brand, the lawsuit names Warner Brothers Pictures and other companies as defendants.

The woman said she is concerned about being “blacklisted” in the film industry and harassed by his followers if she is identified in connection with the lawsuit.

Jane Doe also said that she was originally booked for three days on Brand’s movie set, but was not brought back after the rape and was only paid for one day.
