2 Alabama Brothers Found Dead After Vanishing in Middle of Night

Two brothers who vanished in Alabama on Sunday have been found dead.

WTVM reported that Braxton Thomas, 30, and Rico Tannehill, 28, were last seen driving in the Haleyville area. On Wednesday, the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office said that police in Winston County informed them of Thomas and Tannehill’s deaths.

“It was very unusual that he would up and leave in the middle of the night and not tell me because he tells me everything,’’ Thomas’ wife told AL.com.

According to Thomas’ wife, she called their 18-year-old son on Monday morning to check if Thomas was home when he left for work. The son reportedly said he was not, but he assumed he was out getting breakfast.

Thomas’ wife told AL.com that her husband’s phone last pinged in Haleyville. She also claimed that she called the two men’s phones but they eventually stopped ringing.

The circumstances surrounding Thomas and Tannehill’s deaths have not been disclosed.
