Dad Arrested for Being ‘Complicit” in 16-Year-Old Daughter’s Online Nude Photo Sales

A California father has been arrested for allegedly helping his 16-year-old daughter sell nude photos online.

The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office said that Scott Davis has been charged with sex trafficking, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and child abuse for his part in the scheme.

Detectives said they began investigating in August when they learned that the teen, who “had a very well known online presence on a variety of social media platforms,” was selling nude photos. They determined that she was “in fact” selling the content and had grossed about $40,000 from the sales.

“Detectives also discovered that the female’s father, Scott Davis, was aware of the online activity and was complicit in the profit,” the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives executed a search warrant on November 15 and arrested Davis.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to Detective Macres at macresc@edso.org or (530) 957-5227 (texting available).
