Marvel Drops Actor Jonathan Majors After He’s Convicted of Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend

On Monday, “Creed” actor Jonathan Majors was convicted of reckless assault and harassment for a March incident involving his then-girlfriend.

Majors, 34, did not testify, but the victim, Grace Jabbari, recalled on the stand the car altercation left her with a bloody ear and fractured finger. The New York Times reported that a jury found Majors not guilty on a single count of assault and harassment.

Jabbari stated that the assault occurred after she took Major’s phone because he was receiving flirty texts. She said Majors tried to pry his phone from her hand and twisted her arm. She recounted how he then struck her across her head, according to The New York Times.

Majors was arrested Majors’ attorneys argued that Jabbari was the real aggressor and their client was the victim.

The Uber driver who was in the car the night of the incident testified that Majors “was not doing anything,” he also said the actor was trying to “throw” Jabbari in the vehicle as he got in.

“I do remember [Majors] was pushing her back into the car to get rid of her,” he said, according to Variety.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Jabbari was arrested in October, amid allegations she had assaulted Majors. Though prosecutors had charged her with assault and criminal mischief, they eventually dropped the case.

Sources told Variety that Marvel has dropped Majors in light of Monday’s guilty verdict. Majors played Kang in the 2021 season finale of “Loki.”
