A Tennessee man has been charged with murder after allegedly shot another man to death following a car crash in Texas.

Weatherford Police said they received multiple 911 calls about an accident on Interstate 20 Friday evening. When they arrived at about 7:30 p.m., they found a 44-year-old man dead at the scene.

Their investigation revealed that the man had been shot to death by Nicholas Kent, 43, during an altercation after the accident.

Kent, whose address given was Greeneville, Tennessee, was arrested and booked into the Parker County Jail. He was released Saturday on a $250,000 bond, according to jail records.

The victim’s identity was not released.
