3 Dead in 2 Colorado Crime Scenes Are Connected, Deputies Say

Colorado authorities are investigating three people found dead in two Douglas County locations Thurssday morning, and detectives say the deaths are connected.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the top of the Reuter-Hess Incline Trail shortly before 9 a.m Thursday and found two people — a man and a boy — dead. As a result of that investigation, deputies asked the Parker Police Department to conduct a welfare check at an address in that city, and officers found a woman dead at the home.

While there, they also noticed a gas leak and evacuated nearby residents. South Metro Fire Rescue assisted with the gas leak.

Police said the Douglas County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of dead and provide cause and manner of deaths.

The sheriff’s office said they believe there is no threat to the community at large. They declined to say if any of the deaths were considered homicides or suicides.
