Georgia Teen Missing for More Than a Week as Temps Head Below Freezing

A Georgia mom is desperately searching for her 16-year-old daughter who left her house on January 7 “after a psychotic episode.”

Hydi Cain was last seen on January 7 wearing pajama pants, a sweatshirt, and no shoes, the City of Fayetteville Department of Public Safety said.

Temperatures in the area are headed well below freezing this week.

Hydi is describe as 5 feet 1 inch tall and 130 pounds with blonde hair; however, later reports indicate she has dyed her hair black.

“Being a parent of an almost adult is the hardest thing I have ever done,” Hydi’s mother, Sidney Fyffe, wrote in a Facebook post. “They think they know what is out there. But they don’t.”

Anyone with information should contact Detective Lindsey Fogler at (770) 719–4284 or email lfogler@fayetteville-ga.gov.
