Florida Woman Tried to Use Dog Pee for Court-Ordered Drug Test

Earlier this month, a Florida woman was arrested last week for allegedly trying to pass off a dog’s urine as her own during a court-ordered drug screening.

The Smoking Gun reported that Jessica Beatty, 48, was arrested on December 28 for possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a suspended license. As part of her release, she agreed to undergo drug screenings.

Pinellas County police alleged Beatty arrived at the county’s probation unit with a urine sample even though a probation officer monitors the process. Once confronted, Beatty admitted the urine she tried to submit belonged to her aunt’s dog, according to The Smoking Gun.

Beatty was arrested at the probation office and charged with urine testing fraudulent practices. Her January 11 arrest led the judge in her pending drug case to send her back to jail.

The Smoking Gun reported that Beatty has a lengthy criminal history which includes convictions for cocaine possession.
