Scissors, Razor Blades Reportedly Found in Sand at Kansas Playground

Police in a tiny Kansas town are warning parents about sharp items allegedly found in a city playground.

A citizen told the Belle Plaine Police Department they found scissors and razor blades in the sand near the bottom of the playground’s slide, according to Police Chief Bill Berry.

“The reporter stated the shears had the handles down in the sand with the pointed ends sticking up, which could have impaled a kid,” Berry wrote on Facebook. “Please check the play areas if you take your kiddos to play in any park.”

This incident took place at Watson Park in Belle Plaine.
