NY Man Accused of Stalking Woman by Plane Arrested Again, This Time by Car

A New York man who has been charged with stalking a woman with his airplane was arrested again last month for violating an order of protection and stalking.

The new charges against 65-year-old Michael J. Arnold are misdemeanors, but he was ordered held without bond, WNYT reported.

The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office did not say if the most recent incident — on January 12 at Fort Hardy Park in Schuylerville — was related to the previous cases, but the victim in the earlier cases, Cassandra Wilusz, gave WNYT a video showing a maroon sedan slowing and stopping near her vehicle before driving away. Deputies said that Arnold drives a maroon Buick.

Arnold was last arrested in October 2023 for aggravated stalking with court order violation, violation of an abuse prevention order, giving police false information in order to implicate another, attempted impeding of a public officer, and resisting arrest, as CrimeOnline reported.

Wilusz said Arnold has been harassing her since 2019 — when, she said, he came to her restaurant and she rejected his advances — and has even accuse her of killing her father, who died in a fire in 2017. At times, he uses his small plane to “buzz” her home or place of business.

Arnold says Wilusz is “nuts” and “wants publicity.”

He has been charged in New York and in Vermont, where he keeps his plane. The FBI is reportedly investigating as well.
