Child Molester’s Dismembered Remains Found in Fridge, Possibly There for 2 Years

A sex offender’s dismembered remains may have been in a freezer at a New York apartment for two years before their discovery last month.

Kawsheen Gelzer, 39, is believed to have been killed during a dispute over rent in March 2022. Gelzer is believed to have been paying rent at the Brooklyn apartment before he missed a payment and was killed by resident Nicholas McGee, 45, according to WABC.

Gelzer’s mother reported him missing in April 2022. Detectives suspect McGee cut up Gelzer’s body, wrapped his remains in bags, and stored him in a fridge that was taped shut, according to WABC.

McGee’s wife, Heather Stines, 45, was allegedly living at the Brooklyn apartment where Gelzer’s dismembered remains were found last month. Reports indicated that McGee has been jailed in Virginia since September 2023 after he tried to cash a fraudulent check, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

WABC reported that McGee confessed to beating Gelzer with a hammer as he slept. He allegedly recalled stabbing him with a knife when he woke up.

Sources told WNBC that Stines claimed she did not witness Gelzer’s slaying. However, she reportedly helped police confirm Gelzer was the dismembered man allegedly found in her fridge.

In addition to molesting a boy in 2005, Gezler allegedly served two years in prison for sexual abuse. He was released from custody in 2012.

Stines is charged with concealing a corpse. Sources told the New York Daily News that McGee was indicted on murder charges and is awaiting extradition to New York.
