Manhunt on for 18-Year-Old Gunman for Fatal Shooting in School Parking Lot

An Idaho school is closed and a manhunt under way after a fatal shooting in the school’s parking lot early Monday morning.

Idaho Falls Police are looking for 18-year-old Taylor Aughenbaugh, who they say is considered armed and dangerous.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of Compass Academy, a public magnet school in Idaho Falls. The school closed on Monday to allow police to conduct their investigation, but the shooting was not believed to have any connection to the school.

Police said multiple people were involved in the incident.

Aughenbaugh is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall and 130 pounds with blond hair. He may be traveling in a black Dodge Charger, police said.
