California Nurse Charged With Raping Unconscious Patient; Police Believe There May Be More Victims

A California nurse has been arrested and charged with raping an unconscious patient in January, and police suspect there may be more victims.

Jacob Daniel Hartman, 27, is charged with several sexual assault counts, including sexual battery of an unconscious person. He’s already out of jail, however, after posting a $55,000 bail.

The incident occured at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Riverside, according to Riverside police.

A spokesperson for the hospital said “the individual is no longer employed by Kaiser Permanente.”

Police asked anyone with information — including other victims to contact Detective Daniel Suarez at DSuarez@RiversideCA.gov or (951) 353-7120.
