An 8-year-old girl was found dead in a Houston hotel pool Saturday night after being reported missing.

According to KPRC, the girl was reported missing shortly before 10 p.m. at the DoubleTree in northwest Houston.

The body was recovered after the pool was drained. A witness told the station the girl was trapped in a pipe in the pool.

Police said the incident is being investigated as a drowning.
