Michigan Sex Offender Charged With Rape of 2 Elderly Women, 13-Year-Old Girl

A Michigan sex offender has been charged with the assault and rape of two elderly sisters in Dearborn as well as the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Allen Park.

Michael Shawn Holcomb spent eight years in prison after pleading guilt to second degree criminal assault against a child in 2010. He was paroled in April 2018 and discharged from parole two years later.

Holcomb was arraigned Tuesday for the attack on the teen on March 9. The teen was visiting one of Holcomb’s relatives who knew about his past. A friend who knows the family told WXYZ a 7-year-old child witnessed the assault in progress and helped the teen escape.

“They helped each other escape,” the friend said. “He tried to lock them both in the house, and she’s only 7 years old.”

The girls got away and ran to a neighbor, who called 911.

Holcomb fled the scene before police arrived. Two hours later, police say, he got into the home of two elderly sisters in Dearborn, where he raped, assaulted and tortured them. One of the women escaped to a neighbor’s home and called 911.

Again, Holcomb fled the scene but was tracked down to a nearby motel.

Last week, he was arraigned on five counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of torture, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, and two counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm, less than murder in connection with the attack on the two women.

For the attack on the teen, he’s been charged with six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of unlawful imprisonment, one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm by strangulation, and one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Both jurisdictions ordered Holcomb held without bond.
