Veterinarian Planned to Adopt Baby to Sexually Abuse, Feds Say

An Illinois man was arrested on Friday for allegedly distributing child pornography via social media.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Adam King, 39, used the messaging app Telegram to send illicit videos and pictures to someone in New York. The New York resident King sent the videos and images to was under investigation — leading authorities to take over his Telegram account.

Agents took control of the New York suspect’s Telegram, and reportedly started corresponding with King last spring. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that King’s handle on Telegram was @pervchidude.

King allegedly wrote about sexually assaulting his nieces and nephews after drugging them with Benadryl, an allergy medicine. According to the criminal complaint, he also stated that he and his husband are expecting a baby via surrogate — and he “plans to sexually assault the child after it is born.” He reportedly also sent photos of the baby’s clothing.

King, a veterinarian and dog show judge, wrote that he likes children in the “single digits” and described his husband as a “non perv,” the Chicago Tribune reported. According to WMAQ, he also said he had a “large digital cache” of child pornography on his Telegram account.

FBI agents executed a search warrant at King’s home on March 5. At that time, they allegedly discovered images in King’s phone that matched the ones posted in the Telegram chat.

The Chicago Tribune reported that King was arrested on Friday — before he could fly California to to be with the surrogate mother for his son’s birth. He remains jailed without bond.
