15-Year-Old Girl, Subject of Amber Alert, Found Safe; Alleged Abductor Still at Large

An abducted 15-year-old Virginia girl was found safe during a traffic stop Thursday night, and now a 28-year-old woman has been hit with multiple charges.

But the man believed to have abducted Ronique Poteat, her half brother Tyrell Ashley Davenport, remains at large, WRIC reported.

An Amber Alert was issued after Davenport allegedly took Poteat Wednesday night, as CrimeOnline reported. The pair were seen leaving in a black 2006 Honda Accord that was found abandoned Thursday morning.

Poteat was found when Henrico County police stopped a car on Interstate 95 near Chamberlayne Avenue just before 10:30 p.m., WRIC said. A woman in the car was detained for questioning and later charged.

Earleecha Williams, 28, has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, accessory after the fact in a felony, obstruction of justice, and abduction of a minor.

Police said Williams was driving the vehicle that was stopped in I-95 and that she and the girl knew one another but did not provide further details.

Multiple law enforcement agencies are searching for Davenport, 23. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det. M. Lynch at 804-501-7324.
