Severed Leg Found in Wisconsin Park, ‘Person of Interest’ in Custody

A “person of interest” is in custody after a human leg was found in a Wisconsin Park on Tuesday.

Cudahy Police said the leg was found near Lake Michigan, just east of the golf course in Warnimont Park late Tuesday afternoon, WTMJ reported. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said a visitor to the park found the leg.

On Thursday, law enforcement swarmed a neighborhood several miles away in southwest Milwaukee with a fully armed SWAT team and searched the upstairs apartment in a duplex.

“I have no words for that it’s like holy holy cow like that’s a lot to take in,” said 17-year-old Nailea Moore, who lives next door to the duplex.

The sheriff’s office told WITI that it was investigating the discovery as a homicide but has not yet provided details on the person in custody.
