Tennessee Couple Accused of Killing Toddler Grandson on Day After Christmas

A Tennessee grand jury has indicted a Hardin County couple in the death of their 3-year-old grandson late last year.

Carson Brasher was found dead on December 26, 2023, WSMV reported.

Jeff and Amy Brasher were arrested on March 29, according to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office said. Amy Brasher was indicted on charges of first degree murder, child abuse, and neglect, while Jeff Brasher was only charged with child abuse and neglect.

The toddler’s mother, Kimberly Jones, told WKRN that his grandparents were given custody of the boy in October while she was in rehab.

“He was just waiting for me to come home,” she said, describing her son as happy and outgoing, joyful and rambunctious.

“If you met him you would have fell in love with him. He changed a lot of people’s lives in the short amount of time that he was here, that we was blessed with him,” she said.

Jones said she was told that her son slipped in the bathtub and hit his head. The indictments, however, say that Amy Brasher abused the boy and intentionally killed him and that her husband did nothing to protect him.
