Mom Arrested, Boyfriend Sought in Death of Autistic Teen Found Chained to Cot, Starved to Death

An Ohio woman has been arrested for the death of her adopted son who had autism.

The 16-year-old boy, who was not identified, was found dead on February 6, and his death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy.

Tamara Moore, 52, has been charged with murder and endangering children, WXIX reported.

The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office said the boy was found chained to cot and had been starved to death. The autopsy found no food at all in his digestive tract, prosecutors said.

Police are looking for Moore’s boyfriend, 58-year-old William Turnage. He is wanted on charges of murder, endangering children, involuntary manslaughter, and failure to report a crime or knowledge of a death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Springfield Township Police Department at 513-729-1300.
