Suspect Found With Date Rape Drugs Days After Woman’s Body Is Discovered in Suitcase

A suspect arrested on Friday, three days after a New York woman was found dead in a suitcase, was allegedly in possession of date rape drugs when he was taken into custody.

The New York Post reported that Ronald Schroeder, 41, was arrested on an outstanding warrant at New York’s Penn Station. He has been charged with concealing Seikeya Jones’ corpse — which was found, bound with black cords, in a suitcase in Huntington.

Jones, 31, who was homeless, was reported missing on August 16. Surveillance footage last showed her walking through the Huntington Station building, according to the New York Post.

Jones’ body was discovered in the suitcase on Tuesday after residents near the station reportedly complained of a foul odor and called the police.

The New York Post reported that Jones’ bound body was in the fetal position and the suitcase was tied shut with a bungee cord.

Schroeder has not been charged with Jones’ slaying as officials have not yet confirmed a cause of death. He is due back in court on Thursday.
