Twin 2-year-old girls in Oklahoma were reportedly supposed to be dropped off at daycare before they were found dead in a car on Thursday.
The girls, identified as Ariel and Avery Suter, were found dead in a vehicle in Norman. KFOR reported that the parents had left the girls with a family member who was supposed to drop them off at daycare but forgot to.
KOCO reported that the driver stopped in the neighborhood after discovering the two toddlers in the back seat.
Temperatures reached 90 degrees in Norman on Thursday, as CrimeOnline previously reported. An autopsy report is expected to be completed in the upcoming weeks. No criminal charges have been filed.
Thirty-one children have died in hot cars this year, including the twin girls. According to No Heat Stroke, 29 children died of vehicular heatstrokes in 2023.
