An 18-year-old Kentucky man was charged with week with beating his grandmother to death with a drinking tumbler.
The Erlanger Police Department said it and officers from the Independence Police Department were called to the scene Tuesday afternoon for an “active assault” and found Wyatt Testerman outside the home.
Cheri Oliver, 74, was found inside with head trauma and was treated on the scene before she was taken to University Hospital in Cincinnati, where she died.
WDKY said that Testerman and Oliver got into some kind of argument, and he hit her multiple times with his fist and a “metal drinking tumbler.” He allegedly admitted to the assault.
Testerman was charged with murder and booked into the Kenton County Detention Center. He made his first court appearance on Wednesday and was ordered held on a $500,000 bond, according to WLWT.
