California Mom Charged With Punching Infant, Leaving ‘Fist Imprint’ on Face

California police over the weekend arrested a 22-year-old mother on abuse charges after she allegedly beat her 11-month-old baby.

Shasta County sheriff’s deputies said they arrived on the scene Sunday morning in time to see Aleesha Ann Allen putting the baby into a vehicle and “noticed facial injuries that ppeared to be deliberately inflicted and consistent with child abuse.”

After interviewing Allen and witnesses at the scene, Allen was arrested on a charge of child abuse with possible great bodily injury.

The baby was taken to a hospital for evaluation of their injuries and released into the custody of family members.

According to KRCR, the 911 call was made by a friend of Allen’s, who told the station the mother FaceTimed him in tears and showed him the baby’s bruised face, which, he said, “almost” made him cry.

“It was like, man, like… the way his face looked, he didn’t fall off a bed,” the witness said. “Like there was a fist imprint.”

Allen was ordered held without bond, and the district attorney’s office said it was “reviewing” the case.
