Daycare Worker Charged With Yanking Batch of Toddler’s Hair Out

A Kentucky daycare worker has been arrested after she was seen on surveillance video yanking a handful of hair out of a toddler’s head.

Leitchfield Police said the video showed 24-year-old Kesha Cochran monitoring a room of small children onTuesday when she approached a year-old child and pulled the toddler’s hair, according to WBKO. Then, as the child begins to scream, Cochran walked over to the trash can threw something in.

Investigators believe that item to be the toddler’s hair. The child had a nearly 2 1/2 inch bald spot after the incident.

Cochran reportedly admitted she pulled the child’s hair, removing a substantial portion of it, and that she did it intentionally.

She was arrested on Wednesday on a criminal abuse charge.
