An investigation is under way in New York after a deceased fetus was found outside on Thursday.
Police sources told WPIX that the 4-month-old fetus was discovered outside a Brooklyn apartment building. A woman walking in the area reportedly spotted what she believed to be a baby or fetus and called 911.
News12 reported that eight hours before Thursday’s 911 call, surveillance cameras filmed a man taking a photo in the area and leaving.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is investigating the cause of death. It is unclear how long the fetus had been outside the apartment building before Thursday’s discovery.
