Florida police arrested a man on Wednesday for raping a 97-year-old woman last month.
WPLG reported that the elderly victim is undergoing hospice care and is nonverbal and bedridden. The victim’s niece, her legal guardian, allegedly received a Ring camera notification showing Timothy Morris, 66, raping the woman.
Morris reportedly assisted with caring for the victim when hospice staff were not around. According to People, suspicions arose when a hospice nurse alerted the niece to discharge coming from the victim’s vagina.
People reported that the niece secretly installed a Ring camera in the victim’s bedroom. On Wednesday, the niece reportedly got the Ring notification showing Morris rape her aunt.
Morris has pleaded not guilty to sexual battery on a victim who is physically incapacitated. He remains jailed without bond.
