Bojangles Manager Shoots Employee’s Dad Dead in Parking Lot Argument

A manager at an Atlanta area fast food restaurant is in jail after he allegedly shot and killed the father of one of his employees in the store parking lot.

Maurice Evans, 25, was charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon in the commission of a felony in the shooting death of 43-year-old Dominque Goodman in the parking lot of the Palmetto Bojangles, WANF reported.

An arrest warrants says that Evans confessed to officers at the scene.

Police said Goodman’s daughter, who worked at the store, called her father Sunday afternoon about a “disagreement with the team manager.” Goodman came to the store, and an altercation took place in the parking lot between him and Evans.

Evans waived his court appearance on Monday, according to WAGA.

Relatives told the station that Goodman’s daughter called him, saying her shift manager was picking on her. The manager, Evans, was sent home but remained in the parking lot. When Goodman arrived, he began to talk with Evans, who got out of the car and shot him multiple times.

Evans remains in jail without bond, according to jail records.
