Georgia Woman Found Dead, Covered in Blankets; 2 Arrested

Two people have been arrested after a woman’s body was found in North Georgia Tuesday afternoon covered in blankets.

Mystique Malachi Amaziah Taylor, 23, has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and a host of traffic-related offenses connected with the arrest, jail records show. Rolanda Monique Edwards, 25, was charged with party to a crime, concealing the death of another, and hindering apprehension of a criminal.

Both are being held without bond in the Floyd County jail.

The victim’s identity has not been released, WANF reported.

Police said that witnesses reported seeing a red vehicle in the area just before the body was found. That vehicle was later located and stopped in neighboring Bartow County after a brief chase.

WANF reported that Taylor had an arrest warrant in nearby Cobb County for a string of crimes on November 1. Court records say he tried to hit a woman with his car, then grabbed her by the hair and pulled her into the car. The two got into a verbal and physical fight at a nearby gas station, where he took her car keys and left the scene when he learned police were en route.
