An investigation is underway in Florida after a woman was found dead on Sunday in a freezer at a Dollar Tree store.
WTVJ reported that an employee at a Miami Dollar Tree found Massiell Garay Sanchez’s body. Police said Sanchez, 32, was not an employee at the store, but she possibly entered a restricted employee-only area and spent the night in a freezer.
The freezer was reportedly located in the employee-only area. Police also noted that Sanchez did not make any purchases at the Dollar Tree.
A GoFundMe page identifies Sanchez as a physician who died while abroad.
WPLG reported that Sanchez’s death remains under investigation, but police do not suspect foul play as they do not believe she was forced into the freezer. Investigators are speaking with her family to determine whether she had any mental health issues.
