A Georgia man who killed a 77-year-old grandmother in 2022 pleaded guilty to murder last week.
According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Antonio Brown “entered a non-negotiated plea” last Monday, for the stabbing death of Eleanor Bowles.
“I just want to apologize. I don’t think anyone should have to go through what happened to her,” Brown said shortly before sentencing.
The victim’s son, Michael Bowles, found her dead in the garage of her home, in a gated Buckhead community, off of West Paces Road. Michael arrived home for the holidays when he discovered her, as CrimeOnline previously reported.
Atlanta police said Brown walked into the community and tried to steal Bowles’ 2021 Lexus RS350. Bowles interrupted the theft, and Brown stabbed her over 12 times before leaving in the vehicle.
Police later recovered the vehicle in DeKalb County. They also discovered his DNA on the murder weapon.

The Fulton County District Attorney’s Office had been preparing jury selection when Brown took the plea deal.
“Finding her like that is something that will be with me forever. What happened to her was her worst nightmare. It’s most people’s worst nightmare,” Michael previously told FOX 5 Atlanta.
Michael Bowles requested the maximum sentence for Brown.
A Fulton County judge ordered Brown to two consecutive life sentences. He has the possibility of parole after 60 years.
