Over the course of 11 days, customers at two Biloxi Walmart stores reported finding razor blades in a banana nut muffin and several loaves of bread. Investigators said it was initially believed the incidents were unrelated. That is, until December 15, when managers connected the latest customer complaint to the other incidents.

“They also found a muffin with a fishing hook in it,” Lt. Candice Young told WLOX. “Somebody had poked those items through the plastic packaging.”

No injuries were reported. Despite this, Benson was charged with attempted mayhem.

KABB reported that Benson has a lengthy criminal history in Bexar County, Texas, which dates back to 2019. Her most recent criminal case in Bexar County was for narcotics, though she was previously charged with assault, trespassing, obstruction, and prostitution.

Benson’s bond was set at $100,000.
